They've become Nazis. And the US continue to be full partners.
Also, media should be reporting all of Israel's actions as variations of:
- US-backed Israel...
- US-backed Zionism...
- US-backed IDF...
- US-backed Genocide...
But of course, yes, it also seems most governments are still willing to just let it happen.

The implication is that anything more than 25% is absurd, anywhere, anytime. But to accept this logic requires completely ignoring context.
That was a prescription for *Britain*, not Aotearoa, a society with a much bigger population. At a time when much of their utilities and other resources were still publicly-owned. Trying to use this factule as a benchmark for a heavily corporatised Aotearoa in 2026 is beyond nonsense.

"In 2019, the year of Jacinda Ardern's Wellbeing Budget, core government spending was 28% of GDP. Seven years on, it is 32.6%, and we are told we have just lived through austerity."
#OliverHartwich, 2026
But where is the lion's share of that money going? Not to any of the things the left is advocating public spending on (infrastructure, public services, etc). All this demonstrates is that GDP isn't a meaningful thing to measure against when assessing spending.

⚠️ Hinweis an andere #Fediverse-Admins: Wir sehen gerade eine auffällige Welle automatisierter Fake-Anmeldungen.
Muster:
* Zufallsnamen wie `FadRuwir`, `IpybVoxem`, `FaquCorar`
* Wegwerf-Maildomains wie `qaoloty.com`, `2mail.co`, `onionmail.org`
* auffällig viele Tor-/Proxy-Verbindungen
* 0 Beiträge, 0 Follower
* generische Bewerbungstexte wie „Ich möchte Teil der deutschsprachigen Community werden …“

it’s an absolute cliché to the point of being a catchphrase for various communities of people over the years, but the conceptual space contained by the phrase “sharing is caring” deserves more than a
every time you hear it. sharing is caring. it’s an explicit component in the act of a person or group of people sharing something with another person our group of people; care is built-in. somebody cares enough to share this, whatever it is, with whomever they’re sharing it with.
they may care about the thing they’re sharing. they may care about the person they’re sharing it with. probably both, based on my experiences.
it is fundamentally an act of care to share.

Vulnerability in agents from Google and others exposes structural flaw in MCP

OpenAI “rogue” agent activities found on Wikimedia projects
https://diff.wikimedia.org/2026/10/05/openai-rogue-agent-activities-found-on-wikimedia-projects/
Why is this acceptable? You need to be able to press charges against OpenAI or any AI company that is running a "rogue" agent for hacking or similar malicious attacks. If a normal human does this, they are held responsible. So, the same responsibility should apply here and charges should be pressed against the CTO/CEO/CSO.
@gedankenstuecke ah nice. Happy building!
@dvzrv thanks, you should come and visit! 😁
Tonight's Low Quality Ad is for this "Keep the Ween in Halloween" Art Print. Please do not forget the true meaning of Halloween. It originated as National Hot Dog Day, before people bastardized the sacred holiday with all this costumes and candy bullshit.

Trick or Treating used to be so simple. You'd knock on a stranger's door. If you were pure of heart, they'd reward you with a hot dog. If they deemed you unworthy, they'd kill you.
The movie "Her" but remade as a comedy to match current AI abilities and flaws

I want to go here so badly. Especially right now, after I've spent all day trying to get the 197 parts of this stupid grant into the word limits and perfect formatting with a couple of "breaks" for meetings with astronomers to talk about satellites destroying everything... sand dunes in the middle of freaking nowhere sounds pretty amazing.
@sundogplanets Spirit Sands Manitoba can give you a taste of that. You can drive to the trail head. In past years you could take a horse drawn wagon ride through part of the sands.
https://www.gov.mb.ca/sd/pubs/parks-protected-spaces/park_info/spruce_woods_spirit.pdf has some official information.
Besides being somewhat close to you, it’s also close to where RASC Winnipeg hosts an annual star party (same Spruce Woods park). I wouldn’t be surprised if you know it.

> I wonder if all debates are better in writing?
At least in writing we can skim over all the calculated bad takes. Take this one from paid reputation launderer #OliverHartwich;
"Take John Maynard Keynes, whom the left now treats as its patron saint. He reckoned that taxes of about 25% of national income were as much as post-war Britain could easily bear. Were he alive today, I might offer him a job at The New Zealand Initiative."
